Environmental sensors

The context, measured. The production, interpreted.

Without a reliable measurement of the environment, production data remains an orphan number. Irradiance, temperature, wind: the values recorded by SunGuard sensors become the basis for the Performance Ratio and for any deviation from expected yield.

Environment

Every variable that influences production.

SunGuard Energy Meteo Station / sensoristica

Meteo Station

RS485 and Ethernet TCP/IP, in the same architecture.

The SunGuard Meteo Station adapts to the field infrastructure. Serial RS485 version (Modbus RTU) or Ethernet TCP/IP network version. Pyranometers, probes and anemometers are connected with the level of accuracy required by the project.

Integration

Environmental data enters the platform.

The values are acquired by the SGE datalogger and transmitted in real time to the cloud. Irradiance and temperature feed the Performance Ratio and the estimate of producible energy.

The continuous correlation between environment and actual production makes it possible to detect anomalies, module degradation and efficiency losses — from measurement to diagnosis.

Measurable parameters

From irradiance to wind, with the project's accuracy.

Irradiance

Pyranometers with a selectable precision level from 1% to 5%. For bifacial modules, a rear pyranometer for albedo and gain assessment — available on a project basis.

Temperatures

Pt100 / Pt1000 platinum probe for temperature on the module surface. Ambient temperature to correlate expected yield and thermal losses.

Wind and climate

Direction (vane or ultrasonic) and speed (cup or ultrasonic anemometer). Relative humidity, rain (rain gauge). Barometric pressure on a project basis.

Module cleaning

Monitoring of surface soiling levels to optimize cleaning cycles and reduce soiling losses. Available on a project-specific basis.

Cleaning level, pressure and bifacial irradiance are available on a project-specific basis. Contact us for a custom configuration.

Platform

From environmental data to diagnosis, without changing tools.

Performance

Real-time Performance Ratio.

The PR is calculated automatically from irradiance and production, continuously updated, visible in the dashboard and in periodic reports.

Alarms

Anomalies, before they become a mystery.

Deviations between expected yield — calculated from irradiance — and actual production generate automatic alarms, with notification to the SunGuard NOC.

Open

Any sensor, the right accuracy.

We integrate probes with 4–20 mA analog output, 0–10 V or Modbus interface, choosing the level of accuracy best suited to the project.
