What data we process

  • Navigation data: IP addresses, technical logs and data collected via cookies (see Cookie Policy).
  • Contact and quote request form: first and last name, email, phone, company, plant location and the information about the PV plant that you provide by filling in the forms.
  • Installer portal: account data (email, encrypted password, company details, associated plants), the content of support requests and related attachments. Access can also take place via a Google account (OAuth): in this case we receive from Google only the email and profile name.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Responding to requests (contacts, quotes, support): performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Providing portal services (plant activations, tickets, downloads): performance of the contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Site usage statistics via Google tools: consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), revocable at any time.
  • Legal obligations (tax, accounting): legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR).

Data recipients

Data is processed by authorized SunGuard Energy staff and by suppliers acting as data processors: hosting and infrastructure providers, email service provider, Google (statistics and OAuth authentication), Microsoft (internal collaboration tools for managing requests). Data is neither sold nor transferred to third parties for marketing purposes.

Non-EU transfers

Some suppliers (Google, Microsoft) may process data outside the European Economic Area; in such cases the transfer takes place on the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention

  • Contact and quote requests: for the time necessary to handle the request and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact.
  • Portal account: for the duration of the relationship and until a deletion request.
  • Data subject to legal obligations: for the periods provided for by law (generally 10 years).

Your rights

Under arts. 15-22 GDPR you can request at any time: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection to processing, as well as revoke the consents given. You can exercise your rights by writing to info@sunguard.energy. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

Minors

The site and services are not intended for minors under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
